Before and after transformation from lip blush tattoo. Added more shape, fullness and colour to our clients lips.

What is Lip Blush Tattoo?

Lip blush tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic technique that enhances your lips' colour and shape, giving them a fuller, defined while maintaining a natural look.

Artists use a small tattoo machine to apply tiny dots of pigment to the upper layers of the lips, creating a soft, natural tint that enhances your lips' colour.

Resulting in a fine, natural-looking tint that can be customized to match the client's preferred colour.

Kalie ensures a safe process with custom pigments matched to your skin tone and undertone (or you can choose the colour), using top-quality brands like Perma Blend, renowned for over 30 years in permanent makeup inks.

Lip blush tattoos result in beautifully tinted lips that last 1-3 years. A touch-up after 4-6 weeks and yearly touch-ups are recommended to help secure pigment retention and get your desired look.

The Lip blush tattoo healing process by Kalie's Brows & Beauty where we create beautiful lips. Here in Sydney we give great attention to customer satisfaction and tailor our services to our customers needs and wants.
How it works

At Kalie’s Brows & Beauty, our Lip Blush Tattoo service begins with measuring and outlining called 'Mapping' ensuring we create the perfect lip shape that complements your natural features. We take the time to ensure you’re fully satisfied with the design before moving forward, as this step is crucial for achieving beautifully defined and naturally enhanced lips. Once you approve the design, we discuss the ideal color that matches your skin tone and personal style. Using safe, high-quality pigments, we create a soft, blush effect that adds subtle color and fullness to your lips. To ensure your comfort throughout the process, we apply a numbing cream before and during the procedure. Ready to enhance your look and confidence with our flawless Lip Blush Tattoo? Pre appointment instructions

• Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking blood thinners like aspirin or ibuprofen 24-48 hours before your appointment. • No Alcohol or Caffeine: Avoid consuming alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior, as they can increase sensitivity and bleeding. • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated and in optimal condition for the procedure. • Exfoliate Lips: Gently exfoliate your lips a day before to remove dead skin and ensure a smooth surface for the tattoo. • Avoid Lip Fillers: If you've had lip fillers, wait at least 4 weeks before getting a lip tattoo. • Cold Sore Prevention: Take antiviral medication if you're prone to cold sores to prevent outbreaks during healing. • No Lip Makeup: Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips to ensure a clean working area for your artist. • Plan for Healing: Be aware that your lips will swell and peel after the procedure, so plan accordingly for recovery time.

Immediate aftercare (when you get home)

• Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching or picking at your lips to prevent infection. • Keep Lips Clean: Gently clean your lips with a sterile wipe as directed by your technician. • Apply Healing Ointment: Use the recommended healing ointment to keep lips moisturised and promote healing. • Avoid Hot Foods/Drinks: Stick to cool or lukewarm food and drinks to prevent irritation to your lips. • No Makeup: Avoid applying lipstick or any makeup to the treated area for at least 10 days. • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated during the healing process. • Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep your lips out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds to prevent fading or irritation. • No Smoking: Refrain from smoking to ensure proper healing and to avoid infection.

Aftercare for the next 4-6 weeks

• Moisturise Regularly: Continue applying a recommended healing balm to keep your lips hydrated and prevent dryness. • Avoid Exfoliating Products: Steer clear of any scrubs or harsh skincare products around your lips to protect the healing skin. • No Picking or Peeling: Allow the scabs to fall off naturally, avoiding picking or peeling to prevent scarring or colour loss. • Avoid Direct Sunlight: Use SPF or keep your lips protected from direct sun exposure to maintain the pigment. • No Lipstick: Avoid wearing lipstick or other lip cosmetics until your lips are fully healed to prevent irritation. • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to support overall skin healing and keep your lips hydrated. • Avoid Smoking: Refrain from smoking, as it can delay the healing process and affect the final result. • Schedule Touch-Up: Plan a touch-up session after 4-6 weeks to perfect the colour and shape, if needed.

What to expect from the healing process

• Initial Swelling: Expect mild to moderate swelling for the first 1-2 days after the procedure. • Colour Intensity: The colour will appear much darker immediately after the procedure and fade by up to 50% as it heals. • Peeling Phase: Around days 3-7, your lips will start to peel as the outer layer sheds, which is normal. • Dryness: Your lips may feel dry and tight during the healing process, especially in the first week. • Uneven Colour: It’s normal for the colour to look patchy or uneven during the healing phase. • Itching: Mild itching is common as the skin heals, but avoid scratching or picking. • Final Colour: The true colour will settle after 4-6 weeks, revealing a softer, more natural shade. • Touch-Up Requirement: A touch-up may be needed after 4-6 weeks to achieve the desired final result.

Important reminders for your Lips

• Stay Hydrated: Keep your lips moisturised and drink plenty of water to promote healthy skin and faster healing. • Follow Pre-Appointment Instructions: Ensure you've followed all pre-care guidelines to avoid irritation or complications during the procedure. • Initial Colour Will Fade: Expect your lips to look darker immediately after the procedure; the colour will soften as they heal over 4-6 weeks. • Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your lips from direct sunlight to prevent fading and ensure long-lasting results. • No Picking or Scratching: Let any scabs or peeling skin fall off naturally to avoid scarring or loss of pigment. • Use Recommended Ointments: Apply any healing balms or ointments provided to keep your lips moisturised and aid in healing. • Touch-Up is Important: Plan for a touch-up 4-6 weeks after your initial session to perfect the colour and shape. • Avoid Makeup and Lip Products: Refrain from using lipstick or other products on your lips until they are fully healed. • Be Patient with the Process: Full healing can take up to 4 weeks, so be patient as the final colour and look emerge.
